I owe thanks to Val from Quiet Season for suggesting a post about some of Britain’s more, um, interesting political parties and for providing the initial information about the Church of the Militant Elvis Party, which I would never have found without her. In true British fashion, she wrote, “Don’t worry about the link, please. (Unless you really want to.) . . . Insert grateful but Britishly-embarrassed smile here.”
I do want to. Honest. Both by way of thanks and because you have an interesting blog.
I like that. I’m going to have to check out her blog.

Many thanks, Ellen. I’m not so embarrassed now, but it might be because I’ve just had some ice cream. Wow! Just think how I’d be if I’d had chocolate too!

Chocolate and ice cream may transform the entire British culture. I wonder what it’ll be like.
