Here’s an April Fool’s Day story I missed, from the Bangor (Wales, not Maine) Aye. (For context, if you just wandered through here, see the previous post.) And now we can all relax for another year. All we have to watch out for is genuine fakery.

April fool’s day for real?

I hardly know how to answer that question. Yes, I think.

That’s a lovely little dragon, isn’t it? I looked for singe marks on the finger and didn’t find any, but I’m sure they’re there.

Does this mean the Welsch peasantry should commence to go about their quaintness and rusticity asbestos-clad?
LikeLiked by 1 person
That’s a tough one. First, you have to weigh the danger of asbestos against the danger of fire-breathing dragons. Then you have to research whether their rusticity means asbestos hasn’t been discovered. Then you’ve got to work out the cost of all this. By the time you’re done with that, it’s next April Fool’s Day already and we’ve moved on to something else.

Wait wait wait… EYE have to do the research? Can we just move on BEFORE next AFD?

Why not. It’s a long drive from here to Wales, and apparently the dragons are slow growing. We can just let nature take its course.

And besides that — hey, where’s our unrelated photo on this one?

For these short posts, I use invisible photos. You didn’t notice it?

Now, how could I have overlooked that?

Dunno. You’re going to have to tell me.

I’m glad you cleared up that Maine thing or I’d be confused.

It’s not my usual line of work, clarifying things. By nature, I lean toward obfuscation and long words, but I’m glad I could help.

Now there be dragons! That’s a good one! A part of me wishes it were true. Of course, a grown dragon might be a tad terrifying. Still, the picture was well done.

It was perfect. And convincing. But I live close enough to Wales, as the dragon flies, to worry.

Yes! Imagine how it would be to see a grown dragon flying your way. Yikes!

Most excellent April Fool’s Day piece.

Then we have a full grown dragon running around London :)

I thought it took them a long time to reach their full growth, but what the hell, the world’s getting stranger by the minute, so why not?

Soon be St. George’s Day….

Aw, with that tiny little cute thing? That’s not a fair fight.

Can I just say, living in Wales, the place is full of dragons.

And here I thought that was just legend.

That’s nicely done. It’s a good story (even if it’s stolen) and all the clues are there.

With a great graphic. I didn’t know it was stolen, though.

It’s Jurrasic Park. Henry Wu and John Hammond are characters in it and they recreate the dinosaurs from DNA in amber.
The graphic is good. I wonder if it’s taken from one of the Harry Potter films. A dragon hatches in one of them.

I succeeded in missing Jurassic Park. (It’s not easy, but I’m good at that sort of thing.) I say that to explain my ignorance.

Jurrasic Park terrified me, so I remember bits of it quite well.

That’s why I didn’t go. I can’t see the point of paying money to get scared.

There was some good acting in it, sadly not from any of the big names.

For some reason, that made me laugh.

I assume you’ve heard that almost all of our news is fake now. I guess it’s like have April Fools’ Day every day.
