So did mine until a stray cat we named DC (for Damned Cat, as in “What’s the damned cat doing now?”) adopted us. He didn’t stay long, but it was long enough to convert me.

They don’t. They–picking up on our conversation about kids and computers–play outside. Except for Moggy, who’s got to be 19 or so now. She mostly sleeps. And disapproves of the way kids these days carry on.

Moggy sounds like a terribly wise cat. Is it Mr Moggy? Gosh, 19 is quite an achievement. Did he/she get a letter from the Queen?

It’s Ms. Moggy, and thank you for asking. She’s a Minnesota cat, and since in the U.S. no one uses the word moggy, the name didn’t sound generic over there. Of course, that also meant no one could really hear it and she was called Muggy and Maggie and so Meggie. Anyway, no she didn’t get a letter from the queen. She doesn’t really recognize any royalty except her own, though, so she didn’t see it as a snub.

I have managed to meet one cat I didn’t love. No, make that two. One breaks into neighboring houses and sprays. The other bites–hard and without warning.

They’ve all gotten a bit older since I posted these (so have I, but since I wasn’t furry to start with I was never as cute), so they’ve lost a little of the awwww factor, but they’re still gorgeous. In my highly biased opinion.

We have two at present. One dog, one rabbit that got out and now visits while eating our neighbour’s veges, nine chooks and two white ducks.
Gets to be like your yard isn’t your own anymore, lol. Oh and when a Chook lays an egg somewhere in the yard, she starts a loud clucking . Then the stupid dog joins in with high pitched howling.

Me too. Don’t know what happened to my brain, it used to be sharp. I’ve gone back to tea, which I gave up because of the caffeine, but it enables me to write on Blog days. Uggh, the Autocorrupt is putting random capitals again, makes all writing take twice as long!

I don’t really know. I can tell you two things: The random capitalization isn’t limited to any one age group–I’ve seen lots of older adults doing it–and a young friend who was taking English in secondary school was assigned just part of a Dickens novel to read, not the whole thing. He learned, predictably, to hate Dickens.

It’s the software/A.I. It should be called A.U as in unintelligent. When I think of autocorrupt, it worries me that A.I. are going to be making many of the decisions in our world. Already they are choosing who gets hired and fired, did you know?

About that specifically? No. About that and other crucial decisions in general, yes. I’ve been reading quite a bit about how supposedly neutral programs encode the prejudices of their creators and the societies around them.

They’re not all with us anymore, I’m sorry to say. I haven’t had to heart to update it that way. We’ve got two dogs, one fairly crippled but still going strong, and two cats. It’s more than enough.

Yeah, she’s the most high-energy cat I’ve ever had, and being a calico, she’s super feisty! She looks so fluffy and cute, but beware! She’s always getting into some sort of trouble, and she’s used up all of my nine lives too (she’s indoor only) with her antics.
